Ida The Young (folktronica, dream-pop, CZ)

Ida The Young formed when London born singer Iris Hobson-Mazur moved to Pilsen, CZ and met guitarist Marek Koliha. They began playing concerts in 2021 as a duo and eventually were joined by their friend Filip Simon on the drums. Initially leaning towards the genres of dark folk/country they released their first demos of the songs He Left at Dawn and Long Jesse. They released their debut EP Strange-Shaped Flowers in 2023 where they combined folk with indie influences. Over the past year the band has welcomed two new members, Jakub Richtárech (keys,bass) and Pavel Kielberger (electric guitar,bass). They have played all over the Czech Republic and are set to play many concerts this year (Sharpe festival, Vivat Vila festival, Beseda u Bigbítu and more festivals around). The second EP called Silver Thing was released in May 2024 via Korobushka Records.
